This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) refers to all personal information that is collected by Life With A Purpose (“the Business”) via its website.

It also refers to information collected from people for the purpose of employment, volunteering, registrations and applications.

The type of personal information collected is dependent on your use of this website. When ordering, completing any form, subscribing, or registering on this site for events, courses or programs, and when purchasing or viewing anything advertised/promoted (as appropriate), website users may be asked to enter their name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help them with their overall experience, or to help the Business deliver a service/product.

This information is gathered from website users (and those interacting with the Business in various ways) when an order is placed by them (when making a single or subscription purchase), when subscribing to the Mini Mag magazine or Business mailing list, when registering for various events, when applying and going through the enrolment process of the Life With A Purpose Academy (“Academy”), when applying to become a volunteer, or when completing a form/s on this website or on platforms that are affiliated with the Business. This information may also be collected if and when website users sign up as a member on this website, or if this is a requirement in order to gain access to a particular service/product/event/resource.

b) whether the information or opinion is recorded in material form or not.

Personal Information is safeguarded within secure networks when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information while placing an order, registering for events and subscriptions, purchasing products and services, applying to become a volunteer or employee or Academy student, and when completing any form or application.

This information is accessible only to a select few authorised individuals with specific access privileges to maintain the confidentiality and safety of information. Moreover, any credit/debit information users provide is encrypted. The company that provides website services to the Business has a team of privacy and security experts in information, application, and network security. Furthermore, the Business only accesses this data via secure networks and devices. An extra layer of security is triggered for information relating to identities (e.g., names).

All website transactions are handled by a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on Business servers. All other transactions are handled by invoices, where the information does not cross into the hands of the Business. Where payments are conducted on site, the Business will ask the person to pay by tapping terminals so information is not accessed by the Business.

DOES THE BUSINESS USE ‘COOKIES’?

The Business may do the same for its employees, volunteers, and members for various reasons. The Business does not provide any affiliate links for purchases made on other websites where the Business may get a commission.

Any links sent outside of the above stated are not connected to the Business. Furthermore, the Business will never request user bank details via other communication channels (e.g. email, text, or on its page as representing a third-party affiliate partner) or any other financial information, personal information, or request payment for products associated with any affiliate partners.

Payment may be required directly on the relevant purchasing pages of products when website users choose to purchase such a product/service after carefully viewing the items presented when you visit the other website as named by the Business for the purposes mentioned above in this clause. Purchasing via these links will be at the complete discretion of website users. By clicking these links, users are subject to the privacy policy of that respective third-party business. By visiting these sites, website users agree to take responsibility for their device’s safety.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY

The Business takes photos and videos at events, gatherings (formal and informal), on various occasions and for various purposes for use within the Business – i.e. for use in the Business’ digital or printed materials and products, website use, social media use, promotional materials, and other Business uses. The Business will not post any Personal or Sensitive Information for user security.

This Privacy Policy on this website includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found in the footer section of each page of this website.

For child safety and privacy, the Business does not post images of the children of event guest, volunteers, employees, contractors, or representatives of businesses they may collaborate with on their Business social media pages or sites relating to the Business.

The Business requires any users, employees, volunteers, contractors, and guests to adhere to this clause in the Policy, along with the entire Policy. If guests and volunteers choose to do this on their own social media page, they must seek and receive the express permission of the parent/s for the digital safety of the child/ren. The Business is not liable for any failure to comply by posting any images on personal or private social media pages; the person posting will be fully liable.

CONFIDENTIALITY

The Business aims to create safe spaces at their events and during their programs. The Business has a strong stance on confidentiality, respect, and honour. It requires that the confidentiality and privacy of those sharing any information at any Business events and programs (e.g. personal experiences) be maintained as per the Business’ internal Confidentiality Policy.

 

 

UNSUBSCRIBING FROM RECEIVING EMAILS

To unsubscribe from marketing emails, all recipients can do so by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails sent by the Business. If any email recipient wishes to no longer receive any communications from the Business, they can do so by emailing the contact below, to which the Business will respond by promptly removing them from all correspondence.
